Frequently Asked Questions
What is JWHA’s connection to Community of Christ?
The John Whitmer Historical Association was founded in 1972 by members of Community of Christ. Their desire was to create an organization independent of the church to promote scholarly inquiry into the tradition. Today, JWHA embraces a diverse membership united by their interest in the history of the Restoration.
