On April 17, 2021, The JWHA Board recommended the following membership fee increases for membership approval, at the 2021 business meeting. If approved, the following fee increases will take effect January 1, 2023.
- Regular membership fee from $45 to $55
- Spousal membership fee from $15 to $25
- E-members membership fee from $25 to $35
- Increase the non-members journal price to $30.
The membership fees do not, and will probably never, cover the full cost of the John Whitmer Historical Association operating expense.
There are no magic formulas to calculate the appropriate membership fees. The Board is charged with balancing annual budgets and proposing appropriate membership fees for membership approval.
The Board has welcomed the extraordinary contributions of donors who have helped us maintain our unique historical programs.
The membership fee increase will help us continue our efforts, while preserving our endowment for future stability.
