Daniel Stone has submitted his resignation as a member of the JWHA Board of Directors due to increased personal commitments. JWHA is indebted to Daniel for his valuable time spent increasing our presence on Social Media, as well as strengthening JW Books.
Scott Esplin will now be completing the remainder of Daniel’s term on the JWHA board.
Scott Esplin is a professor of Church history and doctrine and the publications director for the Religious Studies Center at Brigham Young University. He is an author of numerous publications, including the Smith-Pettit best book award for his book, Return to the City of Joseph, examining faith relations in Nauvoo between the Community of Christ and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is also a former member of the board of the John Whitmer Historical Association.
JWHA appreciates Scott’s willingness to continue as the board liaison to JW Books. Scott’s publishing experience will enhance our production of Restoration history.
