The 2020 JWHA Awards Committee received nominations from JWHA members and friends. The Committee was impressed by the excellence found in the articles and the books that explored diverse movements and research areas in the Restoration. These nominations spanned six countries outside the United States on early and modern church history, pointing to new perspectives on important topics and including lesser known episodes and figures.
The purpose for making awards is to encourage research and publication about the Restoration Movement to raise awareness of our past, present, and future.
In anticipation of the 2020 JWHA Awards Ceremony, the kick-off to Metamorphosis: Scattered and Gathered Saints Emerge After Crises, you’re invited to explore this year’s nominations in our six categories (Best Book, Best Biography, Best Documentary History, Best Anthology, Best Historical Article, and Best Theological Article) voted by the JWHA community:
Congratulations to all nominees on your excellent work and dedication to scholarship! We look forward to meeting together (virtually) on September 19th to reveal the 2020 award winners.
Katherine Pollock, JWHA Awards Committee Member
